The DELPHI Subdetectors

You may find below a description of the DELPHI subdetectors. The DELPHI is a Particle Physics experiment held at the LEP collider at CERN. You may find here a general description of the DELPHI detector and description of the trigger system.

- Silicon Tracker : VD & VFT
- Inner Detector : ID
- Time Projection Chamber : TPC
- Outer Detector : OD
- Forward Chambers : FCA and FCB
- Muon Chambers : Barrel, Forward and Surrounding.
Calorimetry
- High density Projection Chamber : HPC
- Forward Electromagnetic Calorimeter: FEMC
- Hadron Calorimeter : HCAL
Scintillator counters

Particle identification
